Kirkbean Again!
Well well, we are close to the eve of the band playing at Kirkbean for the third time. For about 10 years I have listened, watched and danced to exhaustion to Mary and the Boys! They are a true treasure we are lucky to have in our area. Their hearts and souls are in the music. They can have a full floor on their feet or stood with a tear in their eye. I too hadn't heard of the band until you emailed me to come up to our festival next week. Went onto this website and watched your video.............Wow!! Hi Mary and Doug, It doesn't seem over a week has past since we saw you at Twynholm. Until that Saturday I must confess that I had never heard of The Sensational Mary Barclay Band. Just goes to show how little we know south of the border and what we are missing in life !! Where have you been all these years? Where have you been hiding? You were absolutely fantastic that night and certainly the highlight of the party. Such talent is awesome. Thank you for entertaining us so well. The word "Sensational" says it all. Thank you also for the copy of your lastest C.D. We have played it over and over again because it is superb. Every track is a masterpiece. Great lyrics, great production and great music. My personal favourite is "The Morning" and it should be No.1 in the charts. With so much rubbish around which they call music these days it is sad that you are not more widely known. Still, maybe you prefer it that way. Both Pam and I feel privileged to have met you and we are both looking forward to your next C.D. Can you get one out next week? Our very best wishes to you. Concert in Park Dalbeattie
What an enormous amount of pleasure you gave to people in the park at Dalbeattie on Sunday 15th July. Band played and you sang almost continually for 2 hours - a magnificent performance, delighting holiday makers (such as myself - 68 year old) and locals.

Sensational Band
SMBB are a fantastic band, they are accomplished musicians and great performers. The website is excellent too.
